How an Inland Southeastern NC Pest Control Company Turned Its Website Into a Lead Source

Services: Local content (location pages and blog), Google Business Profile and listing management, social media, HubSpot lead system, website hosting and maintenance
Engagement start: February 2026
Results shown through: September 2026

The Challenge

This family company is based inland, in Bladen County, and serves a wide stretch of southeastern North Carolina, from Whiteville and Chadbourn out to Hope Mills and the beach towns. Plenty of people knew the name. Search engines didn't know much else.

The site had once ranked for hundreds of searches. By late 2023 most of that visibility was gone. Through 2024 it ranked for only a few dozen terms. Homeowners searching for pest control in the towns it serves were finding someone else.

The goal: get found for the towns and the pests, and make sure every form fill and call from the website was counted.

The Strategy

Town pages, every month. Four new location and service pages a month for the communities in the service area, Whiteville, Chadbourn, Hope Mills, Oak Island, Southport and more, each written for how people there search.

A monthly blog post on the pest questions local homeowners ask, plus wood-destroying insect reports for buyers and sellers.

Google Business Profile, listings and social kept current, so the company shows up the same way everywhere.

Lead tracking from day one. A HubSpot lead system and GA4 lead events, so the results are measured in inquiries, not just visits.

Google Search clicks by month (Search Console), March through September 2026. Search Console tracking started in mid-February, so the chart starts with the first full month. Clicks rose from 97 in March to 128 in September, and impressions more than doubled, from 5,947 to 12,991.

Southeastern NC Pest Control: Keywords Ranked

Estimated organic traffic (DataForSEO) from October 2020 through September 2026. The site had more visibility in 2021-2023 and lost most of it in late 2023, long before this engagement. Since February 2026 the estimate has nearly doubled, from 127 to 235 visits a month.

The town pages are doing what they were built to do. The Whiteville page ranks near the top of Google for local pest control searches, and the Chadbourn, Oak Island and Southport pages are climbing. Every one of those visits can turn into a tracked lead.

What This Means for Your Business

If your company serves ten towns but your website only talks about one, homeowners in the other nine are calling someone else. Town-by-town pages and real lead tracking show you exactly where your next customers come from.

Eight months in, this is the start of the curve, not the end of it.
