Since 1996, Adam has specialized in web design and digital marketing, even before most people were using the Internet as a business tool. At age 15, he won Home PC's "Homepage of the Year" award and MindSpring's "Best of the Web." In 2005, Adam started Cube Creative Design right out of college, as a web design and digital marketing firm specializing in search engine optimization, lead management, lead converting websites, and social media management.
Education
A
dam attended Emmanuel Lutheran School through third grade, where he moved to the public school system. Adam still works with Emmanuel on technology consulting and, of course, digital marketing for the school. This is where his passion for private schools was born.
He graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Arts and Imaging Technology, a minor in business, and a Master of Arts in Industrial Technology. He was production editor and editor-in-chief of The Appalachian student newspaper, managing a staff of writers, designers, and photographers. Leading a digital marketing company years later was just a natural transition.
Publications and Awards
He has numerous print design PICA awards. In addition, Adam has presented at numerous workshops and events about digital imaging and web design. Adam holds many certifications from HubSpot Academy and attends continuing education conferences and workshops throughout the year.
Cube Creative was recognized by Business North Carolina as one of the top three Small Employers in the state in 2023 and 2024.
Adam was featured in Education Technology Insights Magazine in 2024, where his company was featured in the "Top 10 Education Marketing Companies" list.
Outside of Work
Adam has played clarinet since 1994 and, during the year, enjoys playing clarinet, saxophone, and cowbells in the Appalachian Freunde Polka Band and performing at festivals all over the Southeast US. He's also active in his church, Fellowship Asheville, where he leads the video and FoH team.
Adam enjoys strength and fitness training with a focus on performance and holds his NCSF Personal Trainer Certification (CPT) through NASM.
Adam is vice president of IJustWantToSleep, Inc. and treasurer of the Asheville Business Leaders Association.
