Appalachian Regional Library

The Appalachian Regional Library is a system that serves three county libraries in Northwestern North Carolina: Wilkes, Ashe, and Watagua. The existing website design in the year 2000 was in need of a new design that was mobile friendly and better served all devices patrons were using to access the site.

    Carolina in the Fall

Entering its third year, Wilkesboro's Carolina in the Fall music festival was in need of a website that could keep up with the growing needs of its attendees. The festival's existing site was built using a stock theme, which resulted in poor page load time and user frustration.

Festival organizers worked with Cube Creative Design to develop a professional online presence that would be more user friendly, as well as offer the maintenance support organizers required during the throes of festival activities.

The site features easy to use navigation and interactive image grid to announce performing bands and link to each respective social media site. Sponsors are prominently displayed and a simple ticket purchase system was put into place to make getting tickets easy for users on any device.

In addition to being responsive, which allows the site to display beautifully on mobile devices, the new website scores a PageSpeed Score of "A" (92%) for fast load times, which is especially important with many simultaneous visitors. The original site scored a PageSpeed Score of "F" (11%).
